As used herein, the term “allergic diseases” means clinical symptoms that are caused by allergic reactions induced upon the activation of mast cells, such as the degranulation of mast cells. Prostaglandins promote the migration of leukocytes to inflammation sites while the inflammatory cytokines induce the expression of iNOS, which catalyzes the production of NO, causative of cytotoxicity and various inflammatory reactions, and the expression of COX-2, responsible for inflammation and pain. |
