We are interested in innovative, interactive, and broadly trained individuals with strong background in immunology and/or molecular and cell biology for projects in the following areas. Development of mice with the human hematopoietic system (humanized mice) Accepted candidates will be located in Singapore under the name of MIT in Singapore-MIT alliance for Research and Technology (SMART). The prime focus of Prof. Chen's group in SMART is to work on development of mice with the human hematopoietic system (humanized mice), study of human immunology, human infectious diseases, cancer modeling , stem cell research as well as translational medicine. Our efforts are supported by strong collaborations with other researchers across disciplines including clinicians and biotechnical companies. We are developing new industrial applications and models for humanized mouse technologies. Selected candidates will be involved in laboratory research work and the communication and collaboration with biotech and phamaceutical companies. Candidates must possess a good publication record, strong training in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Immunology and must be trained in working with small animals, mainly mice. We are recruiting 1 or 2 more postdocs meanwhile also encouraging talented candidates to apply SMART ph.D program which is so-called SMA3. Accepted students will have S$3200/month tuition and be trained in MIT for at least half a year. For details, please refer to SMART website. For qualified postdoc, pay will be ajusted based on experience. For fresh graduate, S$4500/month minimum plus housing subsidy. |
