Beta zeolite was first exploited by Mobil in the United States at 1967, with a three dimensional network of 12 ring pores straight channel system and it is the only chiral hole in the aperture network zeolite structure. Because of its unique topology BEA, Beta zeolite has lot of advantage, such as easily modulating in the ratio of Si/Al at great range, both acid selective catalytic activity and structure selective, high thermal stability and so on. It rapidly became a new type of catalytic material in recent years and has been widely applicated with promising prospects.
In this article, based on the previous research of our laboratory, Beta zeolite was synthesized by solid-phase method in pilot scale at low costs. In order to translation this technology to the industrialized production, existing industrialized synthetic raw materials were further optimizated. Through the research, the kinds of crystallization promoting agent and its optimal amount were studied, while, the crystallization time were also further optimizated. After determined the stirrer type of this reactor and resolved the problem during pilot scale production, a number of Beta zeolite which with different Si/Al ratio were synthesized in pilot scale. These products were characterized by XRD, XRF, FT-IR, SEM, Py-IR, NH3-TPD, N2-absorption, and the results showed that these Beta zeolite products were all qualified.
The catalytic activity of these Beta zeolite products were evaluated firstly by MAT (micro-activity test) method, and then the FCC (fluid catalytic cracking) activity were evaluated by fixed-fluid bed reactor. The results showed that these products have good catalytic performance. Finally, a low-costs method to synthesize Beta zeolite and lots of valuable experience for pre-production were obtained.

This paper in the laboratory using solid phase method of low cost Beta zeolite synthesis based on the work, according to the optimal synthetic scheme to enlarge pilot test: further optimization of the existing industrialized synthetic raw material, can realize the industrialization of production to raw material and technological transition; Add the crystallization of promoting agents method, the optimum further crystallization promoting agents, the material ratio and crystallization time; Sure the reaction kettle for pilot of the mixer type, solve the enlargement in the experimental process problems, so as to save raw materials and energy consumption, improve product quality and production efficiency, improve the comprehensive performance to price ratio zeolite Beta, further decreasing the purpose of the production cost. To enlarge the pilot synthesis different than silicon aluminium Beta for active component zeolite, will introduce into the mode of catalyst, in micro live evaluation device test the catalytic activity, and optimizing active good sample in fixed fluidized bed device consideration of their catalytic cracking performance, the results showed that this batch of Beta zeolite products have good catalytic performance. Finally get a set of solid phase synthesis method low cost Beta zeolite and performance test pilot method for later of industrial production has accumulated valuable experience.

In this thesis, preliminary studies in the laboratory using solid-phase method, low-cost synthesis of Beta zeolite work on the basis of the test in accordance with the optimized synthesis scheme to try to enlarge: further optimization of the existing industrial synthetic raw materials, to the industrial production raw materials and process transition; add a crystallization accelerator, further optimization of crystallization accelerator, the ratio of raw materials and the crystallization time; to determine the type of pilot reactor stirrer to solve encountered in the amplification experiment problems, in order to achieve the saving of raw materials and energy consumption, improve product quality and production efficiency, improve the comprehensive cost of Beta zeolite, further reducing the production cost.
