摘要: This paper deals with the problem of robust control for continuous bioprocesses. According to the material balance equations of continuous bioprocesses, a uniform framework for mathematical modeling of this class of processes is first presented. Then a robust controller is designed by using the Hinfin mixed sensitivity method for the bioprocesses. Finally, the proposed Hinfin control strategy is applied to bio-dissimilation process of glycerol to 1, 3-propanediol. Simulation results are given which show that the designed robust controller ensures the system has a favourable robust tracking performance.

摘要: This paper addresses product yield optimization of metabolic pathways represented by the generalized mass action (GMA) systems. In most cases nonconvex yield optimization problems with GMA models cannot be transformed into convex optimization problems through geometric programming, but an iterative strategy can be used to compute the optimal solution by solving a series of geometric programming. The presented iterative strategy is applied to the fermentation pathway in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and shown to the effectiveness of the method.
