这位老师最近的三篇文章： 1.Bayesian experimental design for the active nitridation of graphite by atomic nitrogen. 2.An information-theoretic approach to optimally calibrate approximate models. 3.Two phase optimal experimental design process for predictive model assessment. 最近的项目： the overarching application of space capsule reentering the atmosphere. The overall goal is to make reliable predictions for a number of quantities of interest in order to design safe thermal protection systems for space capsules. 小弟要跟着读博，望高人指点一下，多谢了！ |

learning a model from data and using this model to make probabilistic predictions 这点和ml 很像，While ML originated from the computer science community, the UQ originated from the physics and engineering community. As such, UQ is applied mainly to continuous-time models based on physics。 怕这个只是搞纯理论。。。 |
