The UV-Vis spector of the interaction between BCDO and DNA is seen in the figure 3.33 .When fluorescent molecule binded with double helix DNA in a imbedded way ,it UV-Vis spector will display a red shift and hypochromic effect on the peak .
From the picture of 3.33 ,we can see that BCDO’s absorb spector has a special absorption peak after the action between DNA and BCDO ,from which we think there has a intercalation .we conclude that the π space orbit of the ligand of BCDO and DNA has a coupling with the π* orbit ,then the electron in the π* orbital increased to reduce transition probability on π~π* and we can see a hypochromic effect . |
