Special Session- New Evolutionary Optimization Techniques for Solving Complex Optimization Problems

Session Chair: Dr. Hui Wang, Nanchang Institute of Technology, China,

Many real-world problems may be formulated as optimization problems with variables in continuous or discrete domains. In the past decades, different kinds of evolutionary optimization techniques have been designed and applied to solve optimization problems, e.g., Simulated Annealing (SA), Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs), Differential Evolution (DE), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), etc. As the complexity of the problem increases, these existing algorithms may not sufficiently satisfy the problem requirements and more effective algorithms are needed.

The aim of the special session is to provide a forum to disseminate and discuss new evolutionary optimization techniques for solving complex optimization problems. Authors are encouraged to submit both theoretical and practical articles to this special session. The topics include, but not limited to, the following:

        New evolutionary optimization techniques in:
        Multimodal optimization problems
        Constrained optimization problems
        Multi-objective optimization problems
        Dynamic and uncertain optimization problems
        Large-scale optimization problems
        Combinatorial optimization problems
        New evolutionary optimization techniques in:
        Scheduling
        Data clustering
        Design optimization
        Pattern recognition,
        Robotics
        Other applications
        Theoretical analysis of new evolutionary optimization techniques

All accepted papers will be published on some EI journals as regular papers.
All papers are refereed through a peer review process. Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.

All papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format only and be mailed to:
Section Chair: Dr. Hui Wang at wanghui_cug@yahoo.com.cn.

Remember:
