Survival-rate-correlated recessive mutations on the 2:3 translocated balancer chromosomes (covering about 80% of the Drosophila genome) of Drosophila melanogaster F1 generations were screened by applying a large number of families. The frequency distribution of the recessive mutations with survival rate of 5% was statistically analyzed. The results indicated that, the mutation rate of the lethal mutation (survival rate smaller than 1%) on 2:3 chromosomes of Drosophila melanogaster is 0.0182; and in the mutation with the survival rate of 0-5%, along with the decrease of the survival rate, the number of the observed families is in a progressive increase tendency. A foundation is laid for researching the correlation between recessive mutation and survival rate of balancer chromosomes of Drosophila. |
