[求助] 电面后外导的回信，不是特别明白其中意思，请热心虫子指教，

与外导电免后，他很快回复，但不是很明白他的意思。特别是其中用红笔标出的那句话，还请各位热心虫子指教。

It was really nice to talk with you, and thank you for your interest in xx university.

We discussed four possible options:

1.Coming to xx university in 2013 with a view to writing a paper with me.
2.Coming to xx university in 2012 but recognising my time is already almost fully allocated to working on other writing projects with other academics.
3.Coming to xx university in 2012 and using us as a base to meet other academics in the UK and beyond during your time here
4.Exploring the possibility of collaborating on a jointly written paper together, without your coming to the UK.
Academics in xx university are under a lot of pressure to write journal articles for top-rated journals. Most of our writing takes place between April and October, when we have traditionally less teaching commitments. It is for this reason that I will not be able to offer you very much direct contact time with myself. Were to visit for say six weeks, I cannot see us spending more than a total of five working days working together. For most of the time you would be using the time to write a paper we might collaborate on. It is for this reason that in my own opinion, I think you are better off waiting until 2014. We could work on a paper together and then use the time when you visit here to travel presenting our paper to other academics and people in the same industry with whom I am familiar.

I hope this helps you to make a the right decision. It's an important step for you and I want you to be very clear about what your coming here would mean both in terms of my expectations of you and yours of me.
