Photocatalytic and Photoelectrochemical Nanomaterials for Sustainable Energy This symposium aims to bring researchers together to report and discuss nanomaterial and device design for high-efficiency solar-to-hydrogen energy conversion systems. This is a dynamic and multidisciplinary field of research involving materials science, physics, chemistry, and engineering. Recent advances in photocatalysis and photoelectrochemistry, both at fundamental and applied levels, will be highlighted by invited speakers. Talks will report on the latest results and development of nanomaterials for photocatalytic and photoelectrochemical water splitting from the perspectives of physics, chemistry, and engineering. Among the important topics of increasing interest are theoretical studies of charge-transport properties, band structure, semiconductor chemistry and physics of materials, and kinetic analysis in photocatalytic and photoelectrochemical processes. The topics of this symposium will also cover new nanomaterial synthesis, thin films, nanostructure and nanoheterostructure design, device and system performance measurements.
