[交流] how to communicate with unfamiliar friends?

we have never contacted with each other since graduated from high school, and now 14 years past, he called me once after 2010 spring festival, and i was very excited at that moment,because we both left home and stayed in beijing, even lived in the same town, he said he got my phone number from our classmates, and said we could chat with each other at the free time, however, he replied at once that he needed to be on a business trip, and promised the meeting postponed to his returned day when i said i have free time in the next day, at that time, i thought it is normal, i told my colleagues the coincidence cheerful and waited day by day. but that wasn't the truth, he disappeared without any trace. to my unexpected, i received his call for another meeting yesterday afternoon, i told him intuitively that i am very busy while i have nothing to do at home, the reason why i lied is, firstly, i still felt angry about his dishonesty, secondly, the most important thing is i didn't know how to communicate with heterosexual Friends, especially we used to be unfamiliar, so what can i do in this situation?
PS: our classmate,who gave my phone number to him, asked me whether he contacted with me or not when we met at this spring festival, i told him the details, maybe this is the reason why he called me again.

After graducation ,I found it was very hard to find time to get together with my classmates or friends. Especially when we all have our own family. When having time,I will stay with the family. Sometimes I am very busy.
Sometimes,they are very busy. Sometimes,we did not stay in the same city.Sometimes... We all have some reason for not getting together.
But I think the real friendship will not fade away with the gone time. Try to cherish the friendship ,Try to think on the side of your friends. Try your best to find some time to get together with your firends!
