Application of Clinical Nursing Pathway (CNP) in the health education of infusion outpatients
Abstract
Objective: To investigate the application effectiveness of Clinical Nursing Pathway (CNP) in the health education of infusion outpatients.
Methods: 800 infusion outpatients were randomly divided into two groups, and Clinical Nursing Pathway (CNP) was applied to the health education of the 400 patients in the observation group before, during, and after the infusion, while traditional health education was applied to the other 400 patients in the control group. Comparative observation was conducted on the 2 groups with respect to the mastering of health education knowledge, the satisfaction with the nursing care, and the complaint rate.
Results: Better knowledge of health education and higher satisfaction with the nursing care were observed in the observation group than in control group (P<0.01), while no statistically significant difference was observed between the 2 groups regarding the complaint rate (P>0.05).
Conclusion: The application of CNP in the health education of infusion outpatients can effectively enhance the health education and improve the nurse-patient relationship, which helps improve the outpatient services.
