| All lines leading to and from equipment are to be blinded as soon as the hydrocarbon vapor has been eliminated. Vessels should be ventilated and blinded, preferably by mechanical means, during the time maintenance or inspection crews are working inside. When maintenance or inspection work is completed, and before the vessels are returned to service, the air must be displaced with steam or purged with inert gas. |
