Architecture There may be a changing area between the level 1 area （black）and then from the （grey）level 2 areas to the （white） leve 3 or GMP areas are the areas with the strictest gowning requirements。 The ISPE guide states：gowning may be required to protect the product，operator or the environment。The design of an area for gowning for potent compounds or sterile facilities differs from that of a solid dosage facility。There is generally a degrowning area in potent compounds/sterile facilities，as well as air showers for decontamination 。gowning is also required for laboratory areas ，where generally safety glass and lab coats are required。To prevent cross contamination，strict procedures must be established for personal traffic from these restricted areas（such as toilet，and cafeteria and break areas）。 The quality control laboratory should be located in a central area ，easily accessible to plant but also accessible to the laboratory personal from the main entrance。Typical laboratory layout needs to allow for multiple HPLCS（high pressure liquid chromatography）and other bench-top testing equipment。Unlike research laboratories，the design layout is unlikely to change dramatically from month to month ，because procedures are fully established。 |
