HOW TO AVOID CHINESE ENGLISH

I usually find some persons explain idea with Chinese English. This is a serious problem. I also confuse with it for a long period. First, I want to say, many Chinese can speak and write very good, perhaps we can say authentic English. Examples include those who have lived in English-speaking countries for many years, especially some scientists, and some people who are still studying in high schools or graduated from high schools in recent several years. Several of my collegues' kids can speak very good English, they often teach in New Oriental during their holidays, and they are still high school students. Second, English is language, the only way to improve it is to use it. For we Chinese, speaking of this language should be emphasized more than reading. Whether you are making mistakes or not, whether you are speaking Chinglish or not is not important. First, make yourself understood in English by others, then, improve it. So, speak, speak and speak. |
