The room temperature ionic liquid trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphonium decanoate ([TETDP]+[decanoate]−  was synthesized,purified and kindly provided by the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry, Dep. of Environmental Science, University of Venice. The ionic liquid trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphonium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([TETDP]+[imide]− ,was obtained from Merck (high purity grade≥99%) and used as supplied by the manufacturer. In the latter case, according to the commercial label, the water content was lower than 100 ppm. To avoid any further contamination with water, the RTILs were kept in a dry box until use. |
