PhD position is available at BioQuant, University Heidelberg. The Cell Mechanics group at BioQuant, the Center for “Quantitative Analysis of Molecular and Cellular Biosystems” at University Heidelberg, seeks applications for a PhD position. We focus on the experimental and theoretical investigation of mechanical cell properties and their relationship to molecular cell profiles in norm and pathology. In our research, we combine diverse methods for mechanical cell manipulation, microfluidic microscopic imaging, molecular screening und numerical modelling. Your profile: a background in cell biology, biochemistry, biophysics, and/or biological engineering is required. Experience in experimental cell biology, microscopy and computational data analysis is a plus.
