It has been reported [16] that the interface layer of -Mg with a 3–5 nm thickness still preserved the orientation relationship with I-phase and the coherency between I-phase and -Mg could be achieved by introducing steps and ledges periodically along the interface, therefore, the atomic bonding between I-phase and the hexagonal structure was rigid enough to be retained during severe plastic deformation. |
