SEVP and the Department of State have resolved the technical issue that caused an immediate halt in all F and J visas issuance. The Department of State has temporarily halted the issuance of ALL F and J visas at ALL US Embassies and Consulates due to technical difficulties. This is effective immediately. Please note that this may cause delays in travel. Students and Scholars who currently have a scheduled visa appointment or are pending a visa application are advised to contact the embassy/consulate to determine the status of your current appointment and/or application. Students and Scholars who were planning on applying for a visa over Winter Break should be warned that this recent incident could cause delays. 已经clear了。没有问题！ To all International Students and Scholars, On Friday, ISSS e-mailed you to inform you that the Department of State had suspended issuing new entry visas for all F, J and M visa classifications. Today we are happy to report that the communication issues between SEVIS and the Department of State’s Consular database have been resolved and that embassies have resumed issuing entry visas for SEVIS classifications.
