联系联合培养的国外导师的回信，该如何回复呢？

I received your letter and CV, and it is possible that we would be interested in hosting you. We have an enviable world class facility (museum like displays) and of course easy access to incredible outcrops that geologists from all over the world come to see. Utah's program is really growing in stature and is becoming a well known place to be. I have several questions to you. I assume that you would not require any funds at all as your scholarship would cover all your costs, right? If you were to come here, what benefit would the host get? Are there any funds for some reciprocal trip to China? Are you well versed in petrography, field work, etc.? One of my major stipulations is that if we invest time in you, I would expect you to do collaborative work in my program and would require that you publish results in a timely manner (where I would be a co author). I also require that you be a honest, scholarly, professional, collegial, ethical scientist (someone who abides by our standards, does not step on toes or scoop other scientists, etc.). We do not need problem people that will bring embarassment to our program. While this may seem harsh, I must be upfront with you in this regard. We would reserve the right to drop you from affiliation with our program if you were to present problems. Let me know your responses, as I would need some of this information to pursue anything further on our end |
