| The mixed research inquiry used the case study, with large elements of qualitative data analysis and smaller elements of quantitative data comparison. Such research strategy was chosen as the most appropriate research methodology based on the descriptive elements of human interactions with the information system and measurable elements of such dynamic system. Creswell (1994, 1998) and Maxwell (1996) used an example of in-depth interviews, direct observation, or participant observation as the ideal methods for gathering and obtaining a holistic understanding about the problem domain from the very organic point of view. This study focused on the administrative aspect of providing and delivering IT services as a part of a management obligation to provide vital services to teachers and students participating in a charter school program. The study summarized an active project, initiated as the first request was made to external IT service provider to evaluate old IT systems and infrastructure and to provide technical expertise to upgrade such system. |
