【原创】这样告诉外国同行，用Email发大文件给你。 By littleants007@SCUT 背景介绍： 1）向外国同行索要文献，但是外国同行告诉你，只有扫描版，文献太大，发不了，怕邮箱爆掉。 2）下面是我撰写的采用winrar分卷压缩通过email发送大文件的方法。 Dear ***, Please try WinRAR, you can I split files to multivolume archives, then you can email them to me one by one. My email box is 2GB storage and 3.5MB attachment size. The following method may be used to sent large files by email: 1.At first, install the free software WinRAR (http://www.rarlab.com/ or see the attachment 2.Point to the files on your computer (for example, thesis.pdf) 3.Right-click the file icon. Select the menu “Archive files to archive…” 4.As you compress your files (for example, thesis.pdf, 31M), you can enter the volume size (prefer, 3500000) in the "Split to volumes" field in the "Archive name and parameters dialog: general options" to create volumes (multi part archives). 5.Finally, click “Ok” 6.Then , WinRAR creates a multi-volume archive (thesis.part001.rar, thesis.part002.rar, etc. ) The total volumes are 31MB and the last volume may be smaller. 7.Then you can send the multi-volume archive one by one to my email box. Without a doubt, this work is much troublesome. But when it comes to compare with snail-mail, this is more convenient.
