| A final element of analytical work involved developing and creating a complete scale of information sharing and management system as implied by requirements of a charter school system. Both, administrative and academic requirements were used to illustrate the various levels of importance when dealing with information in its organic form. COS was a suitable environment for conducting the research for following reasons. 1. The company recently upgraded the entire network infrastructure and any operational changes could only be achieved by improving operational aspect of IT. 2. Geographical dispersion allowed using multi-site environment as applicable to almost any charter school system. 3. Distinct separation between academic side and administrative side allowed understanding similarities and differences in both aspects of information access. 4. Working in a single business organization allowed reducing or even eliminating styles in management and academic strategy. |
