The problem addressed in this study was the quality of administrative services not being effectively delivered to school administrators and school managers. This research problem was later extended to investigate whether administrative services in a charter school could be improved by a development of a highly centralized information-sharing management system (ISMS). Such system would address a lack of common, unified, functional, and approved data sharing models used in a public school environment. Such a problem domain is visible in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), where the school system is no longer capable of managing the process of administrating and delivering education. It also impacts the value of the information systems as applied in an academic environment. |
