COS uses its own mission statement as an outline for the future. !°Our mission is to provide meaningful educational options by partnering with the community to empower our students to become responsible individuals and life-long learners who work with integrity to be the best independent study public school empowering underserved students by unlocking their passions and dreams and moving them daily toward graduation!± (COS, 2005). This business model isdriven by the school district not capable of delivering education to all segments of the metropolitan LA area. The operational budget is directly related to the number of students. The volume of students dictates the capability of the business process. COS is calculating business growth at 15% next year and 10% each consecutive year. Information-driven growth requires the company to tightly integrate the Information Technology as a primary driver toward quality improvements and growth potential. |

| COS把自己的目标宣言当作未来蓝图。我们的使命是提供有意义的教育方案。主要是通过与社会合作，使学生成为负责任的人、正直的终身学习者，成为最好的独立学习的公立学校。对低水平学生，鼓励他们放飞激情和梦想，一步步的引导他们走向毕业。（COS，2005年）。 由于国际大都市洛杉矶地区学校无法普及全市教育，才促成了这种商业学校模式的形成。经营预算与学生人数直接相关。学生的数量决定了企业业务流程的能力。COS预计明年的业务会增长15％，并且还会以每年10％的速度连续增长。信息带动增长的现状要求该公司密切结合信息技术，把它当作是提高质量和增长潜力的最主要的驱动力。 |
