Abstract: The aim of this paper is to perform an operation on the malignant tumor resection around fourteen cases’ knee joints and the prosthesis replacement surgery of the specially hinged prosthetic knee joint. Before the operation, it is necessary to be prepared for the operation, such as psychological care, health education. After the operation, it is necessary to closely observe the vital signs, standardize the function exercise, and prepare well the observation and prevention of complication. The operations have been successful and all cases of fracture have been healed. The living quality of patients has been significantly improved. Results show that the prosthesis replacement surgery of the specially hinged artificial knee joint is an effective and reliable method for the treatment of the limb-salvage reconstruction around the knee joint malignant bone tumors. Abstract: This paper discussed 14 cases of the resection of the tumour segment in malignant tumors around the knee joint, as well as the special hinged knee prosthesis replacement. Before the resection operation, full preparation was made to the patients in psychological care and health education. After the operation, close observation of vital signs was done and the functional exercise was standardized in order to observe and prevent the rate of complications. As a result, all of the 14 operations were successful, and the operative incision of all patients was primary healing. Besides, the quality of life of all patients was noticeably improved. We thus proposed that the special hinged knee prosthesis replacement is a reliable method for the reconstruction and limb-salvage of malignant bone tumors around knee joint, in which the all-around care is the key to good treatment effects.
