Ph. D. student position in the Dept. of Environmental Engineering 已有1人参与

The department of Environmental Engineering at INHA University (http://eng.inha.ac.kr/acade/Engineering_CivilNEnvironNGeoin.asp), South Korea, is seeking applications for a research assistant at the Ph. D. level in Environmental Engineering/Science and other focus areas relevant to environmental sustainability (Bioenergy production and recovery). INHA University, a private, research oriental school, ranked 10th in the 2010 by JoongAng Daily national college evaluation in South Korea. The strengths of INHA University are 1st in faculty and student recruitment rate, 9th in SCI-level papers and 8th in SCI citation, 6th in registered patents and 9th in international student's rate among all of South Koreaˇs universities. The Dept. of Environmental Engineering at INHA University was one of the earliest four universities offering Environmental Engineering program and was continuously recognized within the top 10 environmental engineering graduate and undergraduate program in the nation. The position is for appointment in spring, 2012. Specific area of primary research includes Environmental Sciences and Engineering or related field with focus on one or two topics such as anaerobic biological treatment, membrane technology, nutrient removal, fermentation, algae fuel, and chemical recovery by adsorption. Research collaborations will be given. It may be assigned to work together with Dr. Perry L. McCarty (World Class University Professor, INHA University), Dr. Jaeho Bae, Dr. Jeonghwan Kim, and Dr. Po-Heng Lee (Professors, INHA University) depending on the research topic. Applicants are expected to assist in developing international joint research programs or externally funded program at his/her own research interests. Preferences will be given for the applicants having strong research emphasis on environmental biotechnology, molecular biology, nanotechnology, membrane technology, chemical adsorption, and other related fields.
