PhD Studentship at U of Arkansas 阿肯色州立大学 招博士生 已有4人参与

两个教授底下有好几个博士生位置： 第一个 Ph.D. Research Assistantships are available in Prof. Wickramasinghe’s group at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Prof Wickramasinghe’s group is developing new membranes for future separations applications, focusing on health care and sustainability. Our research involves membranes for purification of pharmaceutical products, production of biofuels and recovery and reuse of water. Besides developing new separations processes, we also fabricate new membranes and surface modify membranes for advanced separations. Projects are funded by NSF, DOE, NREL, DOD and Industry. Interested applicants should send a CV, transcripts, a personal statement, and GRE scores to: Prof. Ranil Wickramasinghe at swickram@uark.edu 第二个 Two competitive Ph.D. research assistantships are available in computational chemistry from the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. One student will conduct research involving biomass conversion to biofuels and investigating the effects of solvent on sugar reactions. The second Ph.D. project involves thermo-responsive polymers and biomaterials for controlled release and developing antifouling surfaces. Students who have a strong background in chemistry or chemical engineering are preferred. The successful candidates should have good written and oral communication skills.
