what's your favoriate source of news—newspaper or TV?

Newspaper and TV is both a kind of social medium to help people know what has happened or is happening around us at home or abroad, and facilicate people's life. In my opinion, newspaper represents a traditonal pattern, while TV, especially the digital TV represents a popular/fashionable pattern. I prefer to the latter, which can provides more what we want. What about your choice? Would you share your idea about your choice? I choose TV as my favorable tool to acquire news only for the following two dominant advantages. Compared with newspaper, the primary advantage of TV is visual. TV conveies messenges and attracts people by diverse ways, such as flowing images or sweet sounds, which are not owned by the paper-made newspaper or e-newspaper. From this point, TV can provide a wider range of use for people, covering the kids, the teenagers, the old or even the disable. Therefore, in nowaday, TV is not only a learning tool, but a leisure choice, and is more popular. Another outstanding advantage of TV is its huge content. Whenever you turn on TV, there are more than fifty or sixty channels for you to choose, whose content covers the politics, economics, society and entertainment. Additionally, with the development of Internet, the digital TV can connect with the net to provide more choices for people, such as favoriate moives or TV series which you can watch whenever you'd like to. On the contrary, the news only shows us the most important and focusing news within its limited amount of columns. Therefore, TV is my favoiate source to get news. If you really like studying English, when you are watching Tv, you would turn to CCTv-news unconsciously, now I like to listen to the converstion when I'm watching a Engliah speaking film. I always wanted to look at the subtitles bedore, but it's no help to your English learning. About magzine or newspaper, you can read China Daily, which is more convenient to find, or magzines on current affairs. I think nothing can change you but your own attitude. |

| In my opinion, newspaper and TV are just two choices among many popular medium forms which may include magazine, newspaper, broadcast, TV, internet, etc., and all these choices are accessible for the common people in our information era. Thus, it’s really a matter how we can effectively gain what we really want. |

I like its pronouncation, and its topics are current focuses ,and it covers many fields, such as economics, technology and society. Mybe, at this point, it is similar to China Daily. |

I like the paper-source of news better, i.e newspaper. You know there are so many choices on TV, so sometimes I just don't know how to choose, changing channels from time to time, getting little information in the end. It can't be denied that TV presents us with various and vivid information in a more acceptable way, but it covers so widely that sometimes we are at a loss before such a information library. Additionally, I hate those advertisements. It's really disappointing to be interrupted by ads or something we are not interesting in.That is, I just have to put up with those disgusting parts to get the news I'm realy into. But for newspaper, we can choose what we want to read.We can skip what we dislike and read selectively.Besides, we can read silently and think for a while where there is something recalls us. Above all, I personally think reading on the newspaper is a healthy and friendly way, for it can keep us from the radiation from the screen. This is the last but not least reason for me to choose newspaper as my source of information. There is no accounting for taste. Everyone can choose their own way of obtaining information.  |
