According to the literature, at the same hydrothermal synthesis condition, the reactions of copper chloride with 4-Cyanopyridine and 4-pyridylcarboxsylic acid can produce three-dimensional coordination polymer and mononuclear complex, respectively. The result indicates that slow hydrolysis of cyano-group is beneficial to synthesizing complex with complicated topological structures at hydrothermal reaction. |
