I think the reason of drinking alcohol originally at ancient times somewhat differs from that nowadays. Maybe in the past, alcohol is more likely a medium/tool to communicate with close friends, and to express ones happyness or sadness. For example, many poets, such as Li bai, Du fu, were well known for their strong alcoholic abilities, and many wonderful poems were left for us. In our material society, although alcohol still remains its original role as a emotional communication tool, there are more complicated things/purposes blent in driking alcohol. For example, if you want to get a fund, alcohol can do it; if you want to get a position, alcohol can do it,.....  Many complains can be seen in "Teacher Community"or "Fund Community", .As a teacher, I knonw unfair/inequality really exists. Maybe, alcohol is somewhat equal to "money", used to make the right person happy, who can help you to realize your goals. Although I admit that alcohol sometime is useful in such a competitive society, the first importantance for our teachers/students is to stong ourselves by knowledge/research ability. Since most of us have no such a good father as"Li Gang",  , it is a correct and the only way to make you among leading persons and not to fall behind others.The above only represents my opinion, don't laugh at me,  |
