coagulation 和 condensation
|
|
最近看文献,发现这样一句话:It is known that nanocrystal growth by coagulation leads to very broad size distributions, whereas growth by condensation leads to narrow size distributions, which further implies the Ostwald ripening process.

词典上 condensation相关的意思有: a: a chemical reaction involving union between molecules often with elimination of a simple molecule (as water) to form a new more complex compound of often greater molecular weight b: the conversion of a substance (as water) from the vapor state to a denser liquid or solid state usually initiated by a reduction in temperature of the vapor 我又查了下文献,在纳米晶生长方面,不少取的是第一条意思:简单小分子结合成复杂的大分子。 例如, Ohmori and Matijevic optimized coating conditions and coated spindle-shaped hematite (a-Fe2O3) particles with silica layers by hydrolysis of the alkoxide tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) in 2-propanol.[11,53] (This method is known as the Stöber process, which is based on the hydroxide-catalyzed hydrolysis of an alkoxysilane and condensation of the resulting silanol groups[77]). (Nanoengineering of Particle Surfaces, Adv. Mater. 2001, 13, No. 1, January 5,16页) This method involves the formation of a TiO2 sol or gel or precipitation by hydrolysis and condensation (with polymer formation) of titanium alkoxides. (O. Carp et al. / Progress in Solid State Chemistry 32 (2004) 33–177,47页) The sol-gel method is based on inorganic polymerization reactions. The sol-gel process includes four steps: hydrolysis, polycondensation, drying, and thermal decomposition. Precursors |

The sol-gel method is based on inorganic polymerization reactions. The sol-gel process includes four steps: hydrolysis, polycondensation, drying, and thermal decomposition. (Chemical Reviews, 2005, Vol. 105, No. 4 1034页) 也有第二种意思的,像: Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD). PVD involves [color=]condensation from the vapor phase. The PVD process is composed of three main steps: (a) generating a vapor phase by evaporation or sublimation of the material, (b) transporting the material from the source to the substrate, and (c) formation of the particle and/or film by nucleation and growth. (Chemical Reviews, 2005, Vol. 105, No. 4 1039页) |
