PhD Studentship Structural Dynamics And Interactions Of Proteins Investigated By Solid-State NMR University of Warwick Supervisor: Dr Józef Lewandowski (email: jrlewandowski@gmail.com) Project description: This 3.5 year EPSRC-funded studentship is open to UK nationals. The funding covers fees and student stipend. The starting date is October 2011. You will work in the research group of Dr Józef Lewandowski, based in Analytical Science and Instrumentation at Warwick Chemistry (http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sc ... nalyticalscience/). You will develop new experimental solid-state NMR and theoretical tools to provide a link between structure, dynamics and activity of proteins. You will also apply state-of-art structural and dynamic solid-state NMR methods reinforced by other biophysical techniques to elucidate mechanisms of diverse biophysical processes, especially in the context of protein-protein and protein-small molecules interactions. Experiments will be carried out in a world-class magnetic resonance facility at the University of Warwick (a suite of 8 dedicated solid-state NMR spectrometers from 4.7 to 20 Tesla) and will involve collaborations with other international research groups.
