About 3.5 million children attend UK A&E departments every year (Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health 1999), including 2.3 million who have been injured (Davies 2003). Elbow injury is extremely common in the under-15 age group (Houshian ef at 2001) and there is a geieral accqjtance that supracondylar fracture of the humerus is the most common fracture in the elbow region in children (Daviseta/2000, Glasgow and Graham1997, Hartand Kester 1999, Steenbrugge and Macnicol 2001, Wu et a/ 2002). As minor injuries, supracondylar fractures are in the remit of emergency nurse practitioners (ENPs) (Purcell 2003), so it is valuable for them to gain a deeper understanding of this injury, its potential complications and management. |

在英国每年约有350万儿童就诊于急诊科（英国皇家儿科和儿童健康学院1999年统计数据），其中有230万已经受伤（戴维斯2003年统计数据）。 肘部受伤在15岁以下儿童中极为普遍(Houshian ef at 2001)，一般性的观点认为人类肱骨髁上骨折，肿胀，移位严重往往是孩童时期有肘部骨折史。(引自Daviseta/2000, Glasgow and Graham1997, Hartand Kester 1999, Steenbrugge and Macnicol 2001, Wu et a/ 2002). 由于肘部轻伤和肱骨髁上骨折属于急诊护士护理范围(ENPs) (Purcell 2003)，所以对于他们来说深刻地了解伤势和其潜在的并发症及处理办法是很有意义的。 |
