Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) are a kind of porous crystal materials with clear pore size distribution, which have an application prospect in gas storage, catalysis, separation, optical devices and chemical sensing etc. The outermost empty p orbital of the boron element of organic boric acid can has a special orbit interaction with the ¦Ð-bond, and it can also has a coordination interaction with the Lewis base. So it can be designed as the building block of structure-oriented and function-oriented materials according to these properties. The formation of organic boric acid ester will perform novel properties because the boron atom is introduced to participate into the conjugate system of the structure of material. In this paper, the synthesis, properties and structure of boronic acid are introduced, and the function-oriented COFs as well as its development trends is also introduced. |
