“discrete dipole approximation” (DDA) is used to calculate scattering and absorption properties of nanomaterials at interested light wavelengths, polarizations and surrounding mediums. In DDA method, any nanomaterials with arbitrary geometries are represented by a set of interacting unit dipoles. By solving their dipole moments in a self-consistent method, Their extinction spectra, scattering spectra, absorption spectra and electric field distribution near the vicinity of nanomaterials can be predicted. |
