Climate Change Professional Fellows Program
Prepared by Professor Stan Altman, Baruch College
Overview
Climate change issues, such as reducing carbon emissions and the adverse impact of climate
change, have attained international public prominence in recent years. The challenges of
addressing climate change transcend national boundaries and require mutual cooperation
between nations as well as the interests of the larger global community. The International Center
and Baruch College will convene professionals from the Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan and
the United States to explore the science, impact, adaptation mitigation and actions related to
climate change through an international fellowship program supported by USAID.
