【Discussion】anyone could tell me the reasons

Yesterday I found some cards have changed colour. They become yellowish, lost luster. It looks bad I put these cards in the drawer. Is this an inevitable process or does properly maintaining cards prevent from happening? 卡颜色变得暗黄，不知道什么原因，是放在抽屉里的，大概集了8年，一般寒暑假都有拿出来， 这种颜色变化是不是必然的？有没有什么方法可以保持好。 这里看看 这些颜色，多数是正面颜色变化不大，反面很糟糕，     this card white turn to yellow.  以前都没发现 ，看到后很难过，没有好好保护变成这样了。 anyone could tell me the reasons ? 植物中含有纤维素、木素和色素。在造纸过程中，将植物茎杆(如稻草)经过碱煮，木素和色素溶于碱液中，被水洗除去，但是难得除干净，纸浆里面仍含有少量的木素和色素。这些木素和色素在 阳光和空气的作用下，逐渐发生了变化，使得纸变 ； 黄变脆。 Plants contain cellulose, lignin and pigment. In the papermaking process, the plant stems (such as straw) after alkaline cooking, and pigments dissolved in alkali lignin, was washed to remove, but a rare addition to clean, which still contains a small amount of pulp lignin and pigment. The lignin and pigment under the action of sunlight and air, and gradually changed, making paper, variable; yellow brittle.   |

It's rare and commendable that you could conserve so many cards for so long a time! I dumped them immediately after their missions. May be I should learn from you, they are really memorable! I suggest you to keep them away from air and light in a container with powerful vaccum effect  |
