The ethanol precipitation method was adopted to extract exopolysaccharide from marine microbial fermentation. Then, the extract was isolated against 732 cation exchange resin into three major polysaccharide components: alkaline polysaccharide, weak acidic polysaccharides and acidic polysaccharides. And the polysaccharides were assessed for antioxidant activity against reducing power activity, DPPH radical scavenging activity and hydroxyl radical scavenging activity assays.
