最近投了一篇小文章，审稿人提的问题不知道该怎么修改、回答，还请各位多多指教。
1) The water cluster and 1D tape formed through hydrogen bonding are claimed to be novel ‘to our best knowledge’, however no substantiation beyond this statement is given. A reference is made to the work of Motherwell and Infantes which dates back to 2002!  Indeed, this systematic and detailed report only deals with water clusters in organic molecular crystals.
It is not novel that water molecules hydrogen bond together to form clusters and it remains with the authors to prove the novelty of the arrangement reported here by adopting a similar approach of Motherwell. A systematic interrogation of the CSD needs to be done in order to prove novelty beyond doubt. If this cannot be done, then the novelty cannot be verified and the report is then little more than the structural report of a very simple coordination complex bearing a known ligand.

2）When describing the structure, some macro descriptions should be appeared, as the distance between the 1D water tapes and the 2D layers.

看审稿人的描述 你的应该不是那么Novel 1D tape 2Dlayer到处都是
除了审稿人推荐的这个文章 还推荐你看一篇相同作者Angew 2006年的散文
