[交流] 【求助】self absorption effect

小弟投了篇硅包荧光素的文章,审稿人给了一段话,不甚明白,想请高人帮忙。
In discussion of figure 3, the authors point to a blue shift compared to pure dye. The figure shows a red shift. It would also be interesting to see the difference of the spectra in water, as any solvent related shift would be expected to be reduced in the FSN compared to pure dye, which also helps to indicate how protected the dye is in the FSN.
Also could the shift be caused by any self absorption effect? If so would this have an effect on their photostability measurements。
尤其是self absorption effect是什么意思,它跟荧光素和包裹荧光素的纳米粒子的荧光光谱有何关系,请给位赐教

怎么能验证溶剂有自吸效应呢

self absorption effect 是自吸的意思吧,就是如果溶剂有自吸效应,也会影响它的荧光光谱的红移,

换用其他不同的溶剂在同等条件下测定,比较谱图看是否移动就可知道是不是溶剂的影响了
