As long as people in a society are hungry or out of work or lack the basic skills needed to survive, the use of public resources to support the arts is inappropriate--and, perhaps, even cruel---when one considers all the potential uses of such money." 一旦出现社会人群挨饿、失业或缺少维持生活的基本技能时，使用公共资源支持艺术就不合适了。更有甚者，当有人想独占所有资金的时就更显得残忍了。 1、待完全解决失业等问题后再支持艺术就等同于永远不支持艺术。 To postpone public arts funding until we completely eliminate unemployment and hunger would be to postpone arts funding forever. 2、艺术可以起到面包无法起到的作用，举例：Heming way 的小说 3、通过分配公共资源为艺术发展，实际上可以帮助我们解决一些社会问题 By allocating public resources to arts,we actually help to solve these social problem. Arts belongs to immaterial aspect and compose a important part of our life. |
