【招聘】Ph.D. student in epigenetics (biochemist, biologist)

继续发个帖子，欧洲的PhD The Department of Immunology of the CRP-Santé in Luxembourg offers one research position to a Ph.D. student in epigenetics (biochemist, biologist) We seek highly motivated applicants who enjoy working in a stimulating and international environment. A strong academic record and a keen interest/ knowledge in fetal or early postnatal environmental factors, such as nutrition, stress or infectious diseases are essential. The project consists to study the role of DNA methylation in immune cells and an animal model, and to identify genes responsible for early programming of the immune system. Main activities: • Conduct his/her research project in the best possible conditions • Carry out his/her PhD in accordance with the conditions agreed between the university and the laboratory (e.g. PhD charter defining the work relationship between the student and the supervisor) • Work with a researcher who has set up a research project and participate in the drafting of scientific articles about the ongoing project • Scientific writing • Carry out experiments in the laboratory • Develop a scientific methodology and techniques adapted to the research project • Present the work as well as results during laboratory meetings and at international meetings • Communicate problems and suggestions for possible solutions in a clear way Scientific competence, work experience and diploma: • Preparation of a PhD in Science • Rigor, motivation, scientific creativity and originality, writing skills, conciseness, sense of priority and sense of human relations, time management • A strong academic record and a keen interest/knowledge in virology and molecular biology of viruses is essential • Languages: fluent command of English (writing and communication is a must), knowledge of another language of the European Union is an asset • Knowledge of modern communication and computing skills • Punctual and reliable Our Institute is well funded and fully equipped with top-of–the line instrumentation. The student will receive a working contract funded by a Luxemburg’s AFR fellowship. The student is expected to participate in the preparation of this proposal. The next submission deadline is 22.03.2011.
