Aren't patents wonderful? Each patent has at least two dates and two identifying numbers, and most have more. In addition, patent records in the STN versions of CA and in Derwent have bibliographic information for more than one patent - a patent family. Here's what the highlighted dates are: ###20021227### is the date the WO document was published ###20020614### is the date the owner of the technology applied for patents under the Patent Cooperation Treaty ###2001-7859### is not a date. It is the serial number of a French patent application filed a year before the PCT application ###20021220### is the date the French patent was published ###20010615### is the date the French patent application was filed ###20010615### is also the date the French patent application was filed.
