[交流] 最近写的一句英语比较纠结，麻烦大家帮忙改改

Recently, various embryo culture conditions such as culture medium, embryo density, protein supplementations and atmosphere have been extensively investigated and optimized, and as a result, the efficiency of in vitro embryo production has been improved remarkably, but still far from completion.
我觉得这句话不太通顺，是不是要改成两句好点？

把and as a result的and去掉吧，一句话里面有两个and，很别扭，去掉以后我觉得更通顺
