Influence of fiber-treating on the mechanical properties of jute fiber reinforceed epoxy resin composite was studied. Treatments by the use of ¹èÍéżÁª¼ÁKH560¡¢îÑËáõ¥Å¼Áª¼ÁNDZ201¡¢¼î´¦Àí¡¢Çá¶ÈÒÒõ£»¯¡¢ÇèÒÒ»ù»¯ were carried out to optimize the properties of the composite material. The effects of these five methods were evaluated by testing the tensile and bending strength of the fibers as well as characterizing the fiber's cross micro-morphology by SEM. Furthermore, the change in the fiber crystallinity was determined by XRD. The above observations show that these modification techniques are all in favor of decreasing the crystallinity degree of the jute and improving the interface compatibility between jute and epoxy resin. Moreover, these techniques generates variable enhancements in the tensile and bending strength of the fibers. Among of them, base treating and KH560 exhibit the most notable effects on the improvement of the mechanical properties.
