i was visited to take part in a dinner by that girl, one of my labmates. when we were at the dinner table, the girl and his boyfriend quarreled about something i can't even remember at that time, maybe because i was paying my attention to the delicious dishes. (they often quarrel about little things i think it is easy to deal with. ) i did not know what i should do, continue to eat or not? what a big disturbing senario. Finally i stopped eating, i had to, the quarrel was aggravated to a fight. i was more upset, and going to leave. i said'Woo, i am full enough, i want to go now, so you continue.' what would you do if you are in such a condition, guys? |

This kind of thing never occured on me. But I think you should say something to let them calm down. If I were you, I would have told them that I would not continue my meal if they kept on quarrelling. If the cause of quarrelling was somehow related with your caring about one dish, you would not have gone away. In that case, you would have order another one at once and told to them that you would treat them for the meal. Eating with them made you unhappy. If I were you, I would not eat out with them since then. Maybe I will talk with them as usual when I meet them on the campus. |

i think you dealed with it uncorrectly.since you had been invited to dine with them,you are one of the close friends of them absolutely.when they were quarreling for trivial matters,you shoud have coordinate with them and help them resolve it rather than dodge. this is only my own view above,thanks. |
