i was visited to take part in a dinner by that girl, one of my labmates. when we were at the dinner table, the girl and his boyfriend quarreled about something i can't even remember at that time, maybe because i was paying my attention to the delicious dishes. (they often quarrel about little things i think it is easy to deal with. ) i did not know what i should do, continue to eat or not? what a big disturbing senario. | i got an idea, that is u pretend to receive an emergent call (from your superviser or someone else), they need u, so u get the chance to fly for ur life. u can play some rings to let them believe that there comes a call. It is easy and useful. |

i think you dealed with it uncorrectly.since you had been invited to dine with them,you are one of the close friends of them absolutely.when they were quarreling for trivial matters,you shoud have coordinate with them and help them resolve it rather than dodge. this is only my own view above,thanks. |
