This paper calculated and analyzed at different temperatures in the silicon melt and silicon carbide formation and ablation characteristics.

Results show that: the silicon carbide in high-temperature solid-state crystal growth is not obvious in 135℃ under a silicon compound growth of the solid silicon carbide precipitation experimental .

Silicon melts at 1450 ℃, the melting of silicon carbide was found: silicon carbide dissolved in the silicon melt is much larger than the saturated solubility, melting and precipitation of silicon carbide balance.


In addition, the carbon in the silicon melt can promote oxygen precipitation, making a significant reduction in oxygen solubility.
1450 oC heat ingots of silicon carbide after 3h particle morphology and particle size.
