The extraction time must be adjusted to obtain quantitative recoveries. Thus,extraction efficiency increases with the sonication time until equilibrium is reached.Extraction times of between 3 and 60 min are described in the literature. Longer extraction times could produce a significant reduction of the recoveries obtained,probably due to degradation of the compounds or decomposition of the organic solvent caused by the effects of the ultrasound waves [ Last edited by musashino on 2010-7-28 at 09:59 ] |
